Ransom Paid on Red Cross Kidnapped Personnel?

There are rumors of the alleged payment of ransom for the release of Andreas Notter. Although the military, the government and red cross denied this issue, the release of NOtter is still a puzzle. According to the kidnap victim, he was eventually freed by the Abu Sayyaf. It is impossible that the kidnappers will not keep an eye in him even if they were being pursued by the military and other civilian volunteers.

Based on the reports, the ransom paid was around P50 million to P100 million. Another P100 million is also being asked for the release of another Red Cross personnel which is still under his captors.

Why is it that this issue is coming out. Here are the possible answers:

-Abu Sayyaf never released a kidnapped victim or a hostage without a ransom.
-Intelligence reports showed that the Abu Sayyaf members are already looking for additional high powered firearms in the black market. Where did they get the money?
-The kidnap victims are foreigners, that means they could get money from them. That is why they freed Lacaba.
-Involvement of too many emissaries and negotiators.

Ted Failon on Wife's Death

The recent news that hit the newspapers and and TV networks is the detah of TEd Failon's wife. There are conflicting reports as to the true story on the incident. Is it a suicide, as claimed by the members of the family including Ted or there is a foul play?

With so many government agencies trying to involve themselves in this high profile case, the story just becomes more cloudy and confusing. Is it about the finacial problem that Tina claimed or can it be due to to other problems in the relationship between Ted Failon and his wife.

There was some reports that a day before the alleged suicide, Ted and his wife made some disagreements. Ted also presented to the media the suicide note from his wife. It said that she can't take it anymore and she's afraid to tell her husband about the problem which up to now, the media and other people close to the family are still wondering what particular problem Tina is talking about. Some says its about financial problem.

The gun used by his wife is a licensed gun owned by Ted. He was tested negative for paraffin. Othe people were also invited by the police to shed light to the incident.

But the main issue now is the accusation of the police that TEd Failon and other members of the family is obstructing justice. He was already pout in the watchlist of the pnp.

This case is being sensationalized by the police. Is it a revenge to the anchor man for his tirade agaisnt the fellow police officers who were involved in the shoot out in quezon city? These police officers who are trying to arrest members of the family and including Ted Failon are comrades of those police officers involved in the shoot out.

It seems that they can't understand the situation of Failon's family.

Anyway lets just wait for further developments on this case. The DOJ is now on the picture, the NBI, the Commission on Human Rights, the public attorney's office and expect for more agencies who want to be in the limelight.... soon expect the congress to conduct their investigation on this matter....
