More than 1500 Barangays Postponed Elections

1,599 barangays or 4 percent of the total number of villages in the country failed to hold the election because of delayed delivery of election paraphernalia.

Some of the Areas where election was postponed: some provinces in northern luzon, bicol region, some visayas provinces and hotspot areas in mindanao. Voting in these areas will be held tomorrow October 26. the COMELEC already asked the Palace to declare 26 a non-working holiday to let the people in the affected areas participate in the barangay and sk poll.

Authorities reported that election related violence were minimal as compared to previous barangay and sk elections.
