Both government and private offices were forced to close even in the major business district. There were no power in most areas and thousands were stranded or forced to evacuate. In one village in Quezon City, there were at least 300 people rescued.

The government already suspended all classes in Metro Manila and 3 provinces. Classes is expected to resume on Thursday. Although, there is no definite time as to when the power connection will resume.
